Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran is an American businesswoman from America. The Corcoran Group is a New York City-based real-estate brokerage. In 2001, the company was transferred to NRT at $66 million. Corcoran resigned from the company shortly thereafter. Corcoran was one of the first Shark Tank investors. She has appeared in every season of ABC's Shark Tank. Corcoran has signed 53 deals in February 2020. Her biggest deal was her investment of $350,000 in Coverplay for 40%. Corcoran was born in Edgewater (New Jersey) as the second child of ten in an Irish-Catholic working class family. Florence Corcoran's mother was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. her father was a skilled worker throughout Corcoran's early years. Her family sometimes relied upon free food delivery from a local, friendly grocery store. Corcoran is still able to remember her father as someone who would drink often and was rude to her mother. Corcoran struggled in school, and later found out she was dyslexic. Corcoran was educated in an Catholic elementary school and then enrolled in high school in Englewood at St. Cecilia High School. Corcoran was fluent in several courses her freshman year. She transferred to Leonia High School and graduated with a D.
